How Do Socks Become Test Winners?
Ever since our first socks were produced in 1999, the fabric and thread of our socks have been systematically and regularly checked. Quality controls have turned our socks into test winners.
The high proportion of cotton used in our classic calf socks means that they were a popular test subject right from the outset. We are not the only ones who regularly test our socks – they are also examined by Kassensturz and K-Tipp. Find out more about our test winners and test results from recent years.
Repeated Checks: Socks Test Winners
BLACKSOCKS’s classic calf socks have been selected multiple times to undergo independent testing. A variety of methods are used to test the socks’ durability to its limit.
Our bestsellers won out against thirteen other socks in the men’s socks test organised by the TV consumer magazine ‘Kassensturz’ in 2008. With a top score of 5.2 out of 6, our efforts to ensure top quality have now been recognised not only by customers but also by test results.
Our calf socks also achieved a solid performance in the 2012 K-Tipp sock test. Test reports from 2003 and 2008, our own checks, and over three million socks sold to satisfied customers all show consistent approval from an outside perspective.

It is important to us that our textiles are 100% skin-friendly – so our socks, underwear and T-shirts meet the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
