Environment : small footprint

The cultivation of textile raw materials, especially cotton, requires a lot of water and a lot of energy. The consumption of energy leads to CO2. In addition to the production of the raw materials, each processing stage plays a role in this.

The best thing for the environment is if the products are produced in an environmentally friendly way and last as long as possible.  We therefore develop products with a long service life and process the raw materials exclusively in Europe.

Packaging is made of recycled paper and cardboard. Since 2019, we are consciously moving away from plastic packaging. The delivery in Switzerland is CO2 neutral, because it is offset.

The plastics with which we reinforce the products are also compensated. The excellent quality increases the lifetime of our products.

Long life by design

Socks live under adverse conditions. They are trapped between the foot and the shoe. Friction occurs when walking. But the strain is not the same in every area. So we use only first-class raw materials for our socks & underwear: Egyptian cotton, Egyptian organic cotton or Australian Merino wool. To achieve high comfort and durability, the products are skillfully reinforced.

What makes our socks durable?

High-quality raw materials

We use only first-class raw materials with high fiber length for our socks. This way we ensure that the socks do not lint and give our customers joy for a long time. If we used recycled cotton, we would not be able to ensure this. Our cotton and organic cotton come from Egypt. We source the processed merino wool from Australia. The wood for our modal products comes from Austrian beech forests that are sustainably managed. The polyamide comes from Spain and the elasthane from Italy.

Processing in Europe

In order to have a clear conscience throughout the entire manufacturing process, we process the raw materials exclusively in Europe. The yarns for our socks are spun, refined and dyed in Northern Italy. Finally, they are of course also knitted in Northern Italy. The strict environmental and labor regulations, which are also controlled and implemented, ensure that no toxins enter the water and pollute the environment. Employee protection is also ensured. This is important to us.

More about Made in Europe

Short distances - less transport

Since the distances are short, we avoid long transport routes. Long distances mean more energy consumption, which in turn means more CO2 emissions. With the short distances in Europe we save transports and emit less CO2.

Cleverly packaged

Our products can be ordered in different package sizes. Thus, each product needs protective packaging to ensure that it arrives at the customer's site in perfect condition. Since 2019 we have been packing our socks in paper and from 2023 also our underwear and T-shirts. The paper as well as shipping packaging is made of 100% recycled paper and cardboard, and is manufactured in Switzerland. Please recycle the paper bags and cardboard boxes, for the benefit of the environment.

Plastic neutral

While we have said goodbye to plastic packaging, we still use polyamide in products to increase durability and elasthane to optimize comfort. We reclaim the amount of plastic we use. So we are plastic neutral since 2023. Of course we try to avoid plastics in the first place, but where this is not possible or makes little sense, we compensate the consumption.

CO2 compensated delivery

All our products are stored, packed and shipped in Switzerland. Within Switzerland the shipping is done with the Swiss Post. The postal service strives to permanently reduce CO2 emissions. What cannot be reduced will be compensated. Thus, the delivery of your socks, underwear and T-shirts in the home market is CO2 neutral.

Few returns

We have hardly any returns. This is partly due to the underwear product category, but also to the permanent quality controls. Clear product descriptions and sensible marketing hardly ever lead to ill-considered impulse purchases that are corrected by returns. If goods do come back, we repackage them or give them away free of charge to those in need.
